Solihull Rifle and Pistol Club is a not for profit organisation, originating in 1944 as part of the Solihull Home Guard. They are dedicated to one of the most popular sports worldwide, which is included in the modern Olympic Games.
Despite common belief, shooting is not a dangerous sport. It is skill that requires calm and concentration; to succeed you must learn to relax your mind. Shooting can be done recreationally, a way to escape from the hassles daily life, relax and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the club – or you can discover a hidden talent whilst being taught by one of our members and compete in local and national competitions.
Shooting is a character-building experience that can give you a sense of discipline and achievement as well as improving your confidence, not to mention making friends with your fellow club members. Anyone is welcome to join the group whether male or female, young or old, able or disabled. They currently have over 200 members from ages 14-85. All applications must be vetted by the Police, with personal references being required. For more information on membership, our facilities and ranges please visit their web site.
