Furnace Mill Airgun Range was set up 10 years ago, alongside popular Furnace Mill Fishery, which was created in 1992 by the owners Ed & Jane Brown.
Whether you are a seasoned Hunter Field Target Shooter or someone that would just like to come along and enjoy a day shooting at targets we have got something for you.
Don’t worry if you haven’t tried airgun shooting before as you are able to book a taster session by emailing info@furnacemill.net or by phoning 01299 266777.
We offer a safe friendly environment for people to come and have a go. We have free car parking, male and female flushing toilets, a small retail shop selling fishing and shooting equipment for your convenience. The targets are metal silhouettes of rooks, squirrels, rats, rabbits, pigeons, apes, deer, bears, wild boar and many more which fall over when hit in the correct area. They are easily re-set by pulling a cord from the firing position. The hit zone which causes the target to fall is 40mm or less in diameter. We also have a covered plinking range, with a variety of other types of targets along with paper targets set out at specific distances from 8 to 55 yards, in order to zero your rifle.
Furnace Mill has hosted many large competitions over the last 8 years and has received a lot of incredibly positive feedback.
We are one of the few airgun shoots in the country that has been granted full planning permission, which means that Furnace Mill can open seven days a week, from 10am Monday to Friday and 9am Saturday and Sunday.
We have several courses so even on a busy competition day we will still be able to accommodate our highly valued day customers, so please don’t ever be put off from coming. The courses are spacious, well laid out and well maintained safe places to shoot.
A Chronograph is available to check your foot per pound level on your rifles.
